"Frequency" - Pen on banded rice paper, A4, 2025. Unframed.
After my last batch of original works sold out in a matter of days, of course I had to do a second release! I can't tell you all how much I've enjoyed drawing on paper again - how much more easily these pieces flow out of me. I hope you enjoy these pieces in your space, as quiet points of conversation, totally unique, totally refreshing.
These works are created on Hannemuhle Rice Paper. This is not for the people who prefer the heavy, textured rigid stuff. This paper is so incredibly light weight you can see the vertical bands of it's own construction. It's fragility is poetic, playing beautifully with the simple linework in these pieces. In contrast, this genuine art paper is certifiably archival, acid-free, made by the oldest papermill in Germany, making it an affordable keepsake that you'll have forever.
I slipped into creating digitally so quickly that I didn't actually realise I had, in my mind, completely departed from the idea of creating with hand to paper ever again. Prints felt more profitable, more playful, more exploratory, and they were. But I think with some departure from my Posca pens on paper that I lost an element of the original Easty. There's a style to the linework of using Posca pens that is basically impossible to perfectly replicate, and I think so much of my artistic personality comes from those tiny, almost imperceivable, nuances in the lines.
It's nice to step back into the tactile Easty with these four pieces. This limited collection contains works that are soft and muted, but never mistaken for boring. They're gentle prompts to enter a weirder, exciting world - specifically, Easty's world.
They are beautiful and one of a kind. When hung in a classic stained wood frame, they'll make for a quiet signpost of conversation in any space. In your home, when you need the feeling within reach, or in any corporate outpost, when inspiration is required fuel to travel through the week.
All my works are shipped flat in unbendable rigid, reinforced cardboard mailers. They are protected against the elements by a plastic-free compostable slip, and include a hand-written note of gratitude from Easty herself.
